Arrival to Zvartnots airport, transfer to Yerevan, hotel. Half day city tour. Visits to Matenadaran – depository of ancient manuscripts, Museum of History of Armenia, Tsiternakaberd – Monument and Museum devoted to the Genocide of Armenians in 1915. Visit to Yerevan Brandy Factory with tasting of Armenian brandy. In the second half of the day continue to Echmiadzin – the center of Armenian Apostolic church, museum of St. Cathedral, Hripsime Martyria church. On the way back visit to the ruins of Zvartnots Temple – the pearl of the 7th c. architecture. Return to Yerevan hotel, overnight.


Breakfast. Departure for half day tour to Garni – Pagan Temple of the 1st c. A.D., Geghard Cave Monastery, 12-13th cc., carved from solid rock. Drive back to Yerevan. Possibility to visit Vernissage market, where you can find the best examples of Armenian folk art, unique jewelry, exclusive handmade masterpieces craftsmanship. Visit Vernissage and take a piece of Armenia with you. In the evening dinner at a traditional Armenian restaurant, where you will see how Armenian Lavash (included into the intangible heritage of UNESCO) is baked in tondir (oven) and taste it. You will listen to the wonderful sounds of Armenian Duduk and will have the opportunity to dance Kochari, both inscribed in the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage.


Breakfast. Drive to Haghpat Monastic Complex of the 10-13th cc., Sanahin Monastery, 10th c. On the way stop at the Sevan Lake and visit to Sevan Monastery, 8-9th cc. on the peninsula. Lunch on Sevan Lake. Drive back to Yerevan. Overnight.


Breakfast. Tour to Khor-Virap monastery, 17th c., with view of the Ararat Valley and Ararat Mountain, place of pilgrimage of all Armenians, where in underground prison St. Gregory The Illuminator was imprisoned for preaching Christianity. Drive to Vayots Dzor province to visit Areni winery. The Areni-1 winery is a 6100-year-old winery that was discovered in 2007 in the Areni-1 cave complex in the village of Areni. Wine tasting and lunch. Continue to Noravank Monastery Complex, 12-13th cc. Continue to Qarahunj, or Zorats stones, prehistoric archaeological site near the town of Sisian in the Syunik Province of Armenia. It is also often called Armenian Stonehenge and dates back to II millennium B.C. Drive to town of Goris. Dinner, overnight.


Breakfast. Excursion to Khndzoresk village, famous for its canyon with picturesque rock formations and ancient cave settlement. The artificial caves, some of which are currently used as stables and warehouses, used to be inhabited till the 1950s. In the bottom of the gorge there is St. Hripsime church, dated back to 17th c. The cave church of St.Tatevos can also be found nearby. Continue tour to Tatev Monastery, 9th c. You will reach Tatev by the world's longest ropeway (Guinness Book of Records). It is called Wings of Tatev and connects two villages in the mountains. The length of this road is 5 km and 752 m. And the way to one side in the booth takes 11 minutes, the maximum height is 320 m., the capacity is 25 passengers. Drive back to Goris. Overnight.


Breakfast. Drive to Agarak – Meghri (Armenia – Iran border). After formalities, passing the border. Overnight in Tabriz.


Breakfast. Visit to The Church of St. Thaddaeus, located 180 km from Tabriz, known also as the Black Church (Ghara Kelisa), the most famous church in Iran, which was first built in 68 AD. Afterwards it was extensively rebuilt in 1329. Return to Tabriz to great Bazaar of Tabriz and visit to the Blue mosque, to She Goli a famous building of 17th c. Overnight in Tabriz.


Breakfast. Morning toward Anzali en route visit Seikh Safi Aldiin mausoleum the UNESCO heritage and Ardabil bazaar then to Anzali to visit Anzali legume by boat. Overnight in Anzali.


Qazvin, a 1000-year-old city, was once the capital of Iran. After breakfast we will visit Friday Mosque with the largest ‘Mihrab’ of any mosque in Iran, Shrine of Shahzadeh Hossein, a Muslim saint, Heydarieh Theological School, darb-é Kushk (the city old entrance gate), Ali Qapu & Chel Sotun of Qazvin converted to a museum, then continue to Tehran. Overnight in Tehran.

DAY 10

Breakfast. Visit Archaeological & Islamic Art Museum, the finest museum in Iran with fascinating collection of ancient Persian civilization. Afternoon visit to Golestan palace, the Ghajar dynasty 17-19 cc., where all agreements between Iran & Russia were done, that resulted in separation of central Asia from Iran. Overnight in Tehran.

DAY 11

Breakfast. Transfer to IKA airport. Departure.
