Breakfast. Half day city tour. Visits to Matenadaran – depository of ancient manuscripts, Museum of History of Armenia, Tsiternakaberd – Monument and Museum devoted to the Genocide of Armenians in 1915. Visit to Yerevan Brandy Factory with tasting of Armenian brandy. In the second half of the day continue to Echmiadzin – the center of Armenian Apostolic church, the museum of the St. Echmiadzin Cathedral, Hriprime Martyria church. On the way back visit to the ruins of Zvartnots Temple – the pearl of the 7th c. architecture. Return to Yerevan hotel, overnight.
Breakfast. Tour to Khor-Virap monastery, 5th c., with view of the Ararat Valley and Ararat Mountain, place of pilgrimage of all Armenians, where in underground prison St. Gregory The Illuminator was imprisoned for preaching Christianity. Drive to Vayots Dzor province to visit Areni winery. The Areni-1 winery is a 6100-year-old winery that was discovered in 2007 in the Areni-1 cave complex in the village of Areni. Wine tasting and lunch. Continue to Noravank Monastery Complex, 12-13th cc. Drive back to Yerevan.
Breakfast. Departure for half day tour to Garni – Pagan Temple of the 1st c. A.D., Geghard Cave Monastery, 12-13th cc., carved from solid rock. Drive back to Yerevan. Possibility to visit museum of Parajanov, museum of Martiros Saryan.
Breakfast. Drive to Lake Sevan. Visit to Noradouz, biggest cemetery of khachkars (cross-stones) in Armenia, dating back to 7-10th cc. Continue tour to Sevan Monastery, 8-9th cc. on the peninsula. Lunch on Sevan Lake. Drive to Dilijan, famous health resort and cultural center, Armenia`s “Little Switzerland”. Tours to Haghartsin Monastery, 10-13th cc., Goshavank Monastery, 12-13th cc. Drive back to Yerevan.
Breakfast. Excursion to Erebouni Fortress also known as Arin Berd, fortified city from the ancient kingdom of Urartu, located in what is present-day Yerevan. Erebouni was founded by King Argishti I in 782 B.C. Tour around museum. Lunch. Visit to Vernissage market, where you can find the best examples of Armenian folk art, unique jewelry, exclusive handmade masterpieces craftsmanship. Visit Vernissage and take a piece of Armenia with you. In the evening farewell dinner at a traditional Armenian restaurant, where you will see how Armenian Lavash (included into the intangible heritage of UNESCO) is baked in tondir (oven) and taste it. You will listen to the wonderful sounds of Armenian Duduk and will have the opportunity to dance Kochari, both inscribed in the UNESCO list of the intangible cultural heritage.
Transfer to the airport. Departure.
